This past weekend I had the pure delight of attending an author’s event in Sarasota, Florida. Several of the co-authors in Unwavering Strength Volume 2….Stories to Warm Your Heart and South gathered for a book signing and get to know one another. One of my fellow Ambassadors of Unwavering Strength, Rodney Flowers, was there. I had the great honor of meeting Rodney and getting to know him just a little.
Rodney’s story inspired me so much I just had to share him with you. Rodney took a paralyzing blow in a high school football game. Through, resilience, determination and unwavering strength, Rodney overcame insurmountable barriers to rise up from his wheelchair and walk tall again. 2 days before this launch! I sat beside him at lunch. He could hardly eat. He was in shock and amazement. His eyes were glistening with with excitement and gratitude. The rest of us in the room lit up with pride to be able to share his triumphant moment.
